Director of Partnership Development, National Gallery Singapore
Kola Luu joined the National Gallery Singapore as Director of Development in 2012.
Luu leads the Gallery’s efforts in cultivating partnership and patronage with business associates, donors, sponsors and philanthropists. He leads the Partnership Development team in developing philanthropic products and services that meet the requirement of our partners, donors and sponsors.
Prior to joining the Gallery, Luu was Executive Director at Monetary Authority of Singapore (2005 – 2010) responsible for developing and promoting Singapore as Asia’s leading centre for capital market activities. Leveraging on policy levers, Luu worked closely with the financial sector players in reviewing and implementing strategic initiatives that meet the needs of the industry for sustained development.
Luu raised over USD $5 billion in equities capital for state-owned enterprises and private companies in the global markets as a capital markets specialist at NM Rothschild, Citigroup and Credit Suisse between 1988 and 2004.
He received his MA in Modern and Contemporary Art at Christie’s Education; his MPA as a Littauer Fellow at Harvard; his MBA at the Stern School, New York University and a BBA at the National University of Singapore.
Luu is a painter and avid yogi.
